China trademark registration
In China, the first trademark application prevails latter application, even latter have been using that trademark for a long time. Before start business in China, enterprises shall register their trademark as soon as possible.

What is the general procedure for trademark registration in China?
- Look up the trademark. To check whether there is a previously registered similar trademarks.
- File a trademark registration application and get notice to pay government fee. ( 1 month )
- Trademark Office conducts substantive examination of the trademark application and decide whether to preliminarily approve it or reject it. (4 to 9 months)
- Once the trademark is preliminarily approved, there will be 3 months opposition period for any interested party to file an opposition.
- Officially register the trademark and issue Trademark Certificate in the condition that no opposition filed.
The procedures normally takes 9 to 12 months to issue trademark certificate.
